  • How much do you charge for a conservatorship?   Flat rate $1,500.
  • Do you go to court with me?  No.  There are few court appearances required, and you go to those by yourself.  We are a Licensed Document Assistant firm, so we prepare the paperwork (a LOT of paperwork), and you represent yourself in court.
  • How much do you charge for power of attorney, etc.?  We charge a flat rate of $350 for a planning package, which includes a power of attorney, HIPAA release, advanced directive, and much more.
  • How long does it take?  Generally, it takes a minimum of sixty days to get a temporary conservatorship, but if it is an emergency, you may be able to get a hearing in as little as five court days.
  • Do I get paid to be a conservator?  Maybe.  The average annual pay for a Conservator in California was $47,602 per year as of February 2023.  However, whether or not there is pay and the rate of pay is up to the court.
  • What is the difference between a conservatorship and a guardianship?  Conservatorship is for the care of adults.  Guardianship is for the care of children.
